AOR AR5001D is new version up former AR5000 receiver.AOR AR5000 is discontinued item.for so,AR 5001D is renewal hi-quality RX with software radio external specs.

I feel AR5001D is superior to ICOM IC-R8500,but AR5001D is high costly price refer to IC-R8500.

But AR5001D is a lot of good feature on receiver design. I love analog style singal meter.I value AR5001D as a excellent as good design receiver.

IC-R8500 is also analog s-meter similor to AOR AR5001D.IC-R8500 is low price than AR5001D.

Needless to say.IC-R8500 is excellent performance for HF-ACARS and VHF-Air band receiving.I have this wideband receiver and love it,especially orange backlighting analog s-meter.

I am very happy to buy AOR AR5001D receiver if I can have money for this receiver.but I do not have enough to money to buy it.
